A large crowd gathered at the War Memorial outside St Mary’s church on Sunday to remember all those who gave their lives in the two World Wars and the many conflicts since. For the first time, the parade began at the memorial in the Lower Street car park and made its way up to the church for the silence. The school was well represented in the uniformed groups and it was heart-warming to see the children taking part in the service which followed the Act of Remembrance.

 The school also held a two minute silence at 11 am on Monday 11 November to commemorate Armistice Day.
