Friday saw the beginning of the KS2 spring football tournaments for Primary Schools in the Horsham District. Some of the Year 6 boys travelled to Tanbridge House on a beautiful sunny afternoon and were soon into their stride with a 1-0 victory over Ashurst, courtesy of an own goal. A much tougher game against Kingslea ended in a 1-0 defeat and meant the boys would compete in the middle tier for the remainder of the afternoon. Two cracking goals from Toby H ensured a 2-0 victory over Northolmes before the boys went down to their second defeat of the afternoon against Shelley. They recovered well to win their final game 1-0 against Castlewood with Freddie B exchanging his role as goalkeeper for midfielder with a great finish. The boys ended the evening in second place in the middle tier on goal difference. Very well done to the whole squad - Toby H (c), Ethan B, Henry W, Kingston W, Teddy M, Freddie B, Eric K, Spencer N, Beau L.
