Sierra Leone's walk for EWA...

Published: 22 Sep '25

This morning Sierra Leone class took part in a sponsored walk to help raise funds for Education West Africa (EWA), a charity that the school has supported for many years. Mrs Smith and Sierra Leone class managed to walk 75km in total - smashing their target of 42km!!! At the time of writing, the children have raised in excess of £350!

Each child has received a medal and a certificate for taking part - they are well-deserved - Mrs Smith made them all walk very fast!

EWA is a charity of which our very own Mrs Smith and Miss Turner are trustees and we know from first-hand experience how much difference even the smallest contribution can help. £5 can buy a uniform so that a child can attend school and to build a whole school only costs approximately £5000.

If you are able, and would like to sponsor your child, the fundraising link is here if you would like to contribute online.

OR there is an envelope and sponsorship form in Singapore Classroom.

Well done, Sierra Leone class and Mrs Smith!
