Our Year 5 and 6 boys cricket team travelled to Brighton Aldridge Community Academy (BACA) last week to compete in the Indoor County Finals, and they represented the school brilliantly from start to finish. The atmosphere was buzzing, the standard of cricket was high, and our boys rose to the challenge with determination and pride.
They played with real heart - showing teamwork, resilience, and genuine support for one another throughout every match. Whether they were batting, bowling or fielding, they encouraged their teammates, celebrated each other’s successes and kept spirits high even in the tightest moments. It was everything you want to see from a school sports team. A special mention goes to Fred M, who delivered an outstanding two‑wicket maiden in one of the innings - an impressive achievement at any level and a real highlight of the day. His accuracy, focus and calmness under pressure were brilliant to watch.
A big thank you to Mrs Hayes for taking the team today. The boys should be incredibly proud of themselves for reaching the county finals and giving it their all on the day. They represented the school with maturity, sportsmanship and enthusiasm. A huge well done to Fred M, Ted E, Max H, Milo T, Oscar G and Ronnie H.
