Leaders review the implementation of our curriculum through a wide range of monitoring activities. These include:
- Lesson observations
- Monitoring planning
- Looking at children's work
- Interviews with pupils
- Review meeting with middle leaders
- Governor visits
- Reports to the Governing Body
Continuing Professional Development
To ensure all teachers are developing their subject knowledge and understanding of pedagogy, they receive professional development time to explore a particular aspect of practice. This will include
- Reading educational research and publications
- Observing other teachers
- Coaching sessions with SLT
- Attending courses to support SIP or middle leadership or Senior Leadership
- Videoing their own teaching
- Reflecting on their practice
- Shadowing a leader
- Attending NPQ courses
- Action research project on an aspect of the SIP (School Improvement Plan)
