On Friday we held our annual whole school Advent Eucharist and we were pleased to welcome governors and parents to this service. Father Paul presided over this important milestone in the run-up to Christmas, the children read lessons and prayers, seasonal songs were sung and the first Advent candle was lit. 

As part of our tradition the Posada, in which the Holy Family travels from class to class throughout the school, began last week. This is a religious festival which commemorates the journey Joseph and Mary made from Nazareth to Bethlehem in search of a safe place to stay where Mary could give birth to Jesus.
