St Mary's is a co-educational primary school. We have a roll of 316 pupils (September 2024)Â ranging from 4 to 11 years old currently attending the school.
St Mary's is a Church of England Foundation of 'Aided' status, maintaining close links with the Parish Church of St Mary and the church appoints many of our governors. At major festivals the pupils attend special school services in the Parish Church and at other times use it as a learning resource.
The school actively promotes its Christian ethos. As an Aided School there is special reference to the teachings of the Church of England and the children are encouraged in Christian worship. The school has its own policies, which are based upon the statements of the Diocese and the Local Educational Authority.
