A message from our Headteacher, Mrs Samantha Copus Â
We are dedicated to our vision statement of 'A Christ-centred school with a child-centred curriculum where wisdom and love guide and influence learning and teaching for our whole community. We treasure each child and enable them to flourish using their God-given potential, establishing a secure foundation for them to thrive in a rapidly changing world.'
We believe that God created each of us and made us unique and special and with skills and knowledge to contribute to the world around us.
We, the staff, governors and children, see ourselves as an exciting and inspirational learning community, passionate about inspiring our young people with a genuine love of and thirst for learning by equipping them with the skills they need to become life-long learners across a range of different subject areas.
Our ultimate aim is to help our children to recognise their own, unique talents and to nurture them to fulfil their God-given potential. We work hard as a staff team to ensure that each child in our care is safe, happy, has fun in their learning and is ready to progress from their individual starting points as school and home work closely in partnership together. We welcome and encourage parents to get involved in a whole host of different ways – do come and talk to us if you would like to become more involved!
Thank you for your interest in St Mary’s Cof E (Aided) Primary School. You will find plenty of interesting information on the pages of our website that shows what we love doing when we are working with the young people in our school and wider community.
We do encourage you to visit us in person to experience the fun, creative, happy and purposeful learning atmosphere of our school for yourselves!Â
