The Year 6 boys travelled to Tanbridge House for the first round of the Horsham Area Schools League on Friday.

The boys got off to a flying start with victories in their first two games. The scoreline was 2-0 against North Heath, with an energetic attack leading to goals from Anthony and Daniel. This was followed by a 1-0 win against Steyning, this time with Archie-Deane on target. There was impressive goalkeeping from Max, ably supported by William and Finnley in defence.

The third game was a tight and evenly-matched contest against Leechpool. Despite periods of pressure and goal attempts from both sides, this ended in a 0-0 draw. Our final opponents of the afternoon were a strong Southwater side with a fast paced attack. This ended in a 3-0 defeat for the team.

This places the boys in fourth place overall, with the second round of matches to follow on 10th October. Well done to the whole squad for such a promising start to the season: William, Anthony, Max, Jayden, Archie-Deane, Lennie, Finnley and Daniel.
