It was with a growing sense of excitement that the children in years 5 and 6 watched the dome of the Herstmonceux Planetarium going up in the school hall today. As part of their Space topic, the children all had a session inside the dome and then a further session in the classroom looking at the planets and the Solar System. We are so lucky that we are able to invite the Planetarium into our school to enrich the children’s education, particularly at this time when the Aurora Borealis has been visible from our region!
