Yr 6 are learning about the origins of Black History Month and significant black and mixed heritage people and the contributions they have made to politics, science, sport and religion.
The inspiring theme for this year’s Black History Month is ‘Reclaiming Narratives’, which aims to educate and inspire students by going beyond the traditional focus on slavery and civil rights to celebrating Black excellence in all its forms from the arts, sciences, politics, or everyday life.
