School Uniform

School uniform is an important part of pupils' identity and it helps to make a distinction between school clothes and play clothes. 

It is hoped that pupils gain both a sense of belonging and pride in their personal appearance through wearing the school uniform.

Polo shirt - white with crest
Trousers - plain grey
Shorts - plain grey
Sweatshirt - round neck, navy blue with crest
Socks - grey 

GIRLS

Polo shirt - white with crest
Skirt/Tunic - navy blue
Trousers - navy blue
Summer dress - blue gingham (no stripes)
Sweatshirt - round neck, navy blue with crest or
Cardigan - V-neck, navy blue with crest

Parents are asked to provide sensible black, polishable school shoes (NOT trainers); any style of top coat may be worn, however school fleeces may be purchased if you prefer.
 
We also have a supply of second-hand uniform. If you would like to know what is available, please ask at the School Office.

 

Hair cuts
 
Pupils are expected to have appropriate hair styles at all times. Hair should be tidy and of a suitable length.  If hair is past shoulder-length, it should be tied back off the face with plain hair accessories, please (no novelty hairbands/bows, etc).  Hair should NOT be dyed bright colours. Shaved heads or Mohawks/ Cut-ins are deemed as inappropriate for school.  Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
 
Nails
 
Children are not to wear nail varnish during the school term.  
 
 
PE 
Health & Safety - Our Physical Education Policy is based on guidelines from County advisory staff.  We feel it is important to bring the following issues regarding clothing and jewellery to your attention. 

All pupils are required to wear the correct
PE KIT

- White t-shirt with school crest
- Plain navy shorts
- Plain tracksuit for winter outside games
- Plimsolls for indoor PE (elastic fronts, not laces)
- Trainers for outdoor PE
- One piece swimming costume, towel and swimming hat, if hair is below shoulder length
 
Children will not be able to borrow kit, due to hygiene concerns.
 
NO football kit to be worn for PE.
 
NO jewellery of any kind is to be worn during PE lessons. Children must be able to remove their own earrings independently. We are not permitted to tape earrings or use tape at all. 
Hair longer than shoulder length must be tied back
 
During PE lessons in the hall, pupils are encouraged to be bare-footed, but children will require stout trainers for playground and field sessions. Girls may wear a navy games skirt for netball.
