Quality Assurance
Leaders review the implementation of our curriculum through a wide range of monitoring activities. These include:
  • Lesson observations
  • Monitoring planning
  • Looking at children's work
  • Interviews with pupils
  • Review meeting with middle leaders
  • Governor visits
  • Reports to the Governing Body
Continuing Professional Development
To ensure all teachers are developing their subject knowledge and understanding of pedagogy, they receive professional development time to explore a particular aspect of practice. This will include
  • Reading educational research and publications
  • Observing other teachers
  • Coaching sessions with SLT
  • Attending courses to support SIP or middle leadership or Senior Leadership
  • Videoing their own teaching
  • Reflecting on their practice
  • Shadowing a leader
  • Attending NPQ courses
  • Action research project on an aspect of the SIP (School Improvement Plan)
