World Book Day

7th March 2019
What a fantastic day! We loved seeing all of the children dressed up and so willing to talk about their favourite book character outfits.  Thank you to everyone for the effort that went into these costumes. The assembly was just lovely with the opportunity to share books.  Afterwards our teachers swapped classes and read to the children.
The children then worked on poetry from a great book called ‘Lost words’. The artwork for this book is currently on display at Nyman’s National Trust Gardens if anyone would like to see it. Thank you to Ms Frances for bringing World Book Day to life.
Our reading challenge has come to an end and it was a delight to reward - Jens (Thailand), Rowan (France), Freddie (India), Charlie and Caleb (NZ), Jessica (Ire), Maddie and James (SL), Freya and Daisy (USA), Albert and Erin (USA), Buddy and Max (China), Isobel Moore (SA) and Alisha and Oliver (Japan).
