During half term we ran a story-writing competition with a prize for the best story in each class. We are looking for a story that shows creativity, imagination, engages the reader and shows off the children’s very best handwriting and presentation skills. Writing is one of the things that, as a school, we are trying to improve. During both lockdowns, the children did not have much opportunity to write for extended periods of time and this competition is the perfect chance to do this. The feedback has been that children have enjoyed writing and it has really made them apply their skills. We have been delighted with both the quantity and quality of the stories that the children have written - watch this space for news of the winners!
