Tennis competition

A small group of children from Years 3 and 4 took part in the 'Road to Eastbourne' tennis event at The Weald School last Thursday. All the children took part in a carousel of activities, learning how to be agile on their feet, how to serve, the difference between forehand and backhand shots and the rules of the game, before taking part in short matches against other local schools. They gained points for each activity and were very pleased to have come in fourth place overall. It was a great introduction to the game of tennis and a great afternoon was had by all.
