KS2 were particularly delighted to have a Zoom visit from the popular children's author, Thiago de Moraes. Thiago de Moraes has worked for twenty years as an award-winning art director and commercial illustrator. His first picture book, The Zoomers' Handbook (written with his wife, Ana), was published in 2015, and he's also the author and illustrator of Myth Atlas, A Mummy Ate My Homework, and A Gladiator Stole My Lunchbox. What an amazing author visit! It was fantastic to hear him speak about his love of history, things that inspire him, how he became an author and what he enjoyed reading in his childhood. We worked with him to draw some illustrations and the children loved making up a story.
