Remembrance

During last week's very special time of Remembrance, the whole school learned about World War One and why it is so important that we remember the sacrifices made by others so we can live in peace. On Friday we held our own Remembrance Service. We encouraged the children to come to school in an array of uniforms from local uniformed groups. We held a 2 minute silence at 11am and performed our own service as a mark of respect. The front display board shows some of the children’s messages and thoughts around Remembrance Day.
On Sunday our Head Boy and Head Girl represented the school at the service at St. Mary's Church and laid a wreath on our village war memorial.
