Leavers' Prom

On one of the wettest evenings for several weeks, the pupils in Yr 6 arrived at school for a new experience - a socially-distanced Prom. As usual, the variety of transport to the Prom was breathtaking, from boats to horses and Laurence managed to get his hands on a tank and driver! All the children had really gone the extra mile and were looking super-smart; long dresses for the girls and shirts and ties for the boys - they looked amazing! By the time everyone had arrived, the deluge was in full swing, so the assembled throng moved inside to the school hall to eat their picnics, each group sitting in their 'bubble'. This was followed by socially-distanced dancing, party games and a movie of photos from the children's years at St Mary's, from Reception to Year 6. A very different Prom to the usual affair, but thank you to Mrs Copus, Mrs Benson, Mr Rogers, Ms Frances and the TAs for their support and organisation of this final fling for this year's cohort.
