On Thursday 15th October, we visited Slinfold to play our second football match of the season. This time, the team was largely made up of Year 5 players with the experience of a few Year 6's thrown in and played our part in what was a very exciting, end-to-end match
In the first half, St Mary's took the lead through a goal from Aiden before conceding two quick goals to fall 2-1 behind. Another equaliser from Aiden meant that the teams went for a well-deserved half time break on equal terms.
The team was shuffled around for the second half and they started to play with more confidence with goals from Dylan (3), Harry H and a long range piledriver from Freddie leading St Mary's to an excellent 7-2 win! The boys were very supportive of each other as a team and played the game and showed excellent sportsmanship, representing St Mary's extremely well.
Once again, well done to all those involved.
