Christian Aid Week

13th May 2019

The children have been learning more about the work of Christian Aid this week. In classes we have discussed the aims of Christian Aid and the groups of people around the world that benefit from the work done by this charity. This year's Christian Aid Week appeal is titled 'Hands across the World.' We were inspired by the stories of two young girls from Sierra Leone named Rejoice and Kadiatu. Thanks to the work and mission of Christian Aid, they now have the opportunity to go to school to fulfil their ambitions of becoming a lawyer and a doctor. We reflected on how even though we can’t physically join hands with children across the world, we can still show friendship and support through our thoughts and actions.

Thank you to everyone who returned their collection envelopes with donations to support the amazing work of Christian Aid. Any further contributions would be greatly appreciated.
