Author Visit

On Friday we welcomed author Philip Beicken, who came to visit our Key Stage 2 classes. We were fortunate to hear the first chapter of his debut children's novel, The Ghosteleers, which will be published on World Book Day next year. In their class workshops, the children took on the roles of Norman, his pet cat Morph and the wicked Horags in a team building game. They also took part in word games involving constructing sentences and developing their own story ideas.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Philip for inspiring the children and we look forward to welcoming him back to St Mary's in the Spring.
