Allergy Information - Jan 2019

We have a child in school with an extremely severe food allergy.  To safeguard the health and welfare of this pupil, please could we request that the following products are not brought into school by any of our other pupils:

The nuts that cannot be in school are Pistachios and Cashews.

This affects other products, such as hummus, pesto and Asian foods such as Thai, Indian and Chinese. They are also found in pastries and other sweet items like cake, ice cream and chocolates. If cashews/pistachios are an ingredient in a foodstuff they must be labelled in the ingredients list by law.

However, Nutella and peanut butter are fine in sandwiches.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
