The Years 5&6 girls' football team travelled to the newly refurbished astroturf at Tanbridge House on Friday to play their opening four games in the Horsham Primary Schools Football League.
The girls performed admirably especially as they were playing their first ever competitive football matches and were without subs, due to illness. As the evening went on, they got better and grew in confidence.
After narrow 1-0 defeats in their opening two games, the girls registered their first goal of the evening in a 3-1 loss to Kingslea. April A smashed the ball into the bottom corner after great work in midfield from Scarlett E and Rowan S. Tiredness crept in as the girls' final game ended in a 3-0 defeat to Shelley.
The girls will be back on Friday for their next five games looking to add to their goal tally and hopefully register their first win. Well done to the squad - Scarlett E (C), Rowan S, Martha L, Isla F, April A, Harriet J and Scarlett H.
