Yr 5/6 Science - Light

Years 5 and 6 have been completing a range of practical work this term as part of our Science learning on light. Last week, the children learnt about the history of periscopes and made their own models to explore how they work. This week, we have looked at Isaac Newton's work on the theory of colour. The children created their own colour wheels and discovered how prisms split a ray of light into the colours of the visible spectrum, enabling us to see different colours.
