Welcome to St Mary’s C of E (Aided) Primary School in Pulborough.
We follow the vision statement of 'A Christ-centred school with a child-centred curriculum where wisdom and love guide and influence learning and teaching for our whole community. We treasure each child and enable them to flourish using their God-given potential, establishing a secure foundation for them to thrive in a rapidly changing world.'
As an ‘Aided’ school we have strong links with the Parish Church of St Mary’s, Pulborough and everything that we do is centred around our Christian values. We pride ourselves on being a Christ-centred school with a child-centred curriculum.
Although our school is growing, we have held firmly onto our family ethos and every child at St Mary’s learns very quickly that they are welcomed and valued as a true individual. Our children also know that they are safe and that in our care they will be given opportunities to learn and develop into confident, responsible and successful young people.
We encourage all our children to do their very best in every aspect of life at St Mary’s and, although we place a high emphasis on the basic skills of reading, writing and arithmetic, we also find plenty of time for creative learning both in and out of the classroom to develop the children as holistic learners. We are proud that we have artists, scientists, gardeners, politicians and the next generation of leaders and will encourage the children to develop skills and knowledge within our curriculum offer.
We hope that through our website you will get a flavour of what you and your child can expect to gain from becoming part of the St Mary’s family and I look forward to the opportunity of showing you around our truly wonderful school.
