Toilet Twinning

The school's Kingfishers Club & St Mary’s Church have been raising money for the toilet twinning initiative, which is also part of the church's Eco-Friendly Award. Alongside the Kingfisher's Group we have raised £263.75, which is amazing!
By twinning the toilets, we will enable families to build a basic toilet, have access to clean water and learn about hygiene - a vital combination that saves lives. By twinning a tap we are able to give the gift of safe, clean water that is sustainable, reliable and affordable.
The toilet twinning charity also works closely with communities to promote good hygiene, including handwashing. This helps them protect themselves against the spread of infection – for any kind of communicable disease, not just in a pandemic.
With your generosity and support we have funded the following life-saving installations - 1 tap in the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo), 1 tap in Afghanistan, a latrine in Bloc Hewa, Bora, Lwanma, DRC and a latrine in Poliedouo, 2 Bouna, Cote d’Ivoire, Africa. Thank you to everyone for their support for this great initiative.
