Service of Remembrance - St Mary's Church

Sunday 14 November saw a steady stream of people making their way up to St Mary's Church for the Service of Remembrance. Fr Paul led the Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial, which was followed by a short service of Remembrance in the church, at which the various banners of the uniformed groups were presented, along with the banner of the British Legion. The uniformed groups laid their wreaths at the foot of the memorial and Keely L and William C were chosen to lay the wreath from St Mary's School. The church was full for the service which followed and it was splendid that so many of the children from the school were present for this. Thank you to Brigadier Shackell for organising the parade and Fr Paul for the service.
