Vikings at Forest School

31st October 2017
Sierra Leone and USA classes had a fantastic Viking themed Forest School day on Tuesday, taking part in lots of exciting activities to enable them to find out even more about this term's topic and life in Viking times. These included cooking Viking griddle cakes, making hessian bags and candles from beeswax, Viking rope braiding and throwing willow spears. The children also used a Viking recipe to create ink using egg white, crushed charcoal and honey and wrote on card using the runic alphabet. A huge thank you from Year 4 to all of the adults who helped on the day.
