Science Trip to The Weald

19th April 2016
On Tuesday 19th April, a group of Year 6 students had a science workshop at the Weald. They learned about irreversible changes and burning. Once they had seen the effect of burning items such as biscuits, crisps and cheerios, the teacher demonstrated burning iron wool and magnesium. So that their eyes were protected, they had to look at the magnesium burning through a blue glass which made the flame look green - in actual fact it was bright white!
