Remembrance

10th November 2017
On Friday our whole school took part in an act of Remembrance and observed two minutes of silence.  On Remembrance Sunday our Head Boy and Head Girl laid a wreath at the war memorial at St Mary's Church on behalf of the school.
During assemblies we have been thinking about the sacrifices that others have made so that we can live in peace with one another.  Our Christian values of hope, perseverance and courage are especially appropriate at this time of the year.
The display in the school's reception area also takes remembrance as its theme.  All of the children have made a poppy and written a message on it about what remembrance means to them.
